American Premier Hockey League (APHL)
The American Premier Hockey League (APHL) is a Senior “A” amateur/semi-professional hockey league featuring full-contact adult competition across several U.S. states (New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan) and Ontario, Canada. The league serves as a high-level platform for experienced hockey players—many of whom have backgrounds in junior, college, or minor pro hockey—to continue competing at a competitive level beyond those earlier stages.
Founded to promote elite adult hockey, the APHL emphasizes competitive play, community engagement, and athletic advancement, with some teams forming affiliate partnerships with Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL) organizations to create pathways for players to be called up or gain additional exposure.
